 Diamond Electronics was founded in 1999 in San Antonio, TX and has grown into one of the largest international manufacturing, marketing and distributing companies in Mexico. Today, the company markets throughout North America and continues to expand its horizons into South America and other global markets.
Diamond's product mix now includes a wide variety of consumer electronics - from televisions (CRT and LCD), to DVD players (standard, micro, and portable), to home theater systems, audio equipment, and personal data devices. As testament to this philosophy, Diamond was recognized by Forbes Magazine (September 2003), as the provider to Walmart de Mexico of their single largest dollar volume product in the entire country.
Manufacturing and Distribution
 Diamond continues to excel and challenge the frontier of the ever changing landscape of audio, video and digital consumer electronics. Diamond’s core competencies of manufacturing and distribution are evidenced in its factory in Tijuana, Mexico. This recently expanded facility is currently capable of producing and shipping more than 1 million analog TVs per year. With the upcoming addition of state of the art digital TV assembly lines, Diamond will begin producing LCD and Plasma TVs by the end of 2005.
Diamond’s Operations and Logistics are also centered in the Tijuana facility, and connected through the latest ERP system to the company’s headquarters in San Diego and to its Sales, Marketing and Operations center in Mexico City. This means real time exchange of data and monitoring of all the company’s processes to ensure the highest standards of operational excellence.
In addition to the North American operations, Diamond maintains a presence in Asia through its Hong Kong office which provides engineering liaison, QC/QA and logistics support for those products that are produced in Asia and imported to North America. |
